ART THERAPY

Art therapy is a gentle and powerful way to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. By working with images, symbols, and creative expression, art therapy can help uncover new perspectives, release what feels stuck, and support emotional healing and personal growth.

I am a qualified and registered Art Therapist / Psychotherapist, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a full member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I am fully insured and DBS checked, ensuring that all sessions are held to the highest professional standards.

Art therapy is for all ages and you do not need to have any artistic experience - it is about the process, not the product. Each session is guided with care and compassion, and you will never be expected to share more than you feel comfortable with.

Art and craft workshops

Alongside my therapy practice, I offer a wide range of art and craft workshops designed to bring people together in creative, meaningful ways. These workshops can be therapeutic or non-therapeutic, and are tailored to suit all ages, abilities, and occasions.

Whether held in galleries, at community events, festivals, or private gatherings, each workshop is designed to create a safe and welcoming space where creativity can flourish. Participants are encouraged to explore materials, techniques, and self-expression — discovering not only new skills but also a deeper sense of connection and enjoyment.

Workshops may focus on relaxation and wellbeing, celebrating creativity for its own sake, or be rooted in a more therapeutic approach, offering participants the opportunity to reflect, express, and grow through art.

From small, intimate groups to larger community settings, I adapt each session to the needs of those present — making creativity accessible, inclusive, and joyful, whatever the occasion.

Creative Women's Circles

Throughout history, women have gathered in circle to share, create, and connect. A circle is a sacred space - equal, held, and without hierarchy - where each voice is valued and each presence honoured.

In my Creative Women’s Circles, I weave the therapeutic benefits of art with the timeless wisdom of circle. Through guided creative practices, gentle reflection, and shared expression, we open space for healing, empowerment, and connection — both to ourselves and to one another.

These circles are not about producing “art” in the traditional sense, but about using creativity as a pathway: to release what no longer serves, to nurture inner wisdom, and to celebrate the beauty of being in community. Whether through paint, clay, collage, or other materials, the process becomes a form of ritual - a sacred act of self-expression and belonging.

Each circle is held with compassion, confidentiality, and care, offering a safe space for women of all ages and backgrounds to gather. Together, we honour the cycles of life, the strength of sisterhood, and the deep medicine of creativity.
